About the Ideas Portal

Ideas that can work in Lagos

We walked our municipal district from one end to the other; we spoke to residents and to visitors alike; and out of those walks and those talks we developed some ideas that we want to share with all.

Why are we doing this?

First, because we want to improve the range of choices available to visitors and secondly because we see it as a way to create new jobs and retain existing jobs.
Some of the ideas are real brain teasers, others are just fun thoughts that we hope will spur you, the reader, to liberate your own creative process and thought patterns.

We are going to give you a list of ideas, and over time we will assist you in developing some of them.

These ideas are just things (thoughts) that we believe could work in Lagos, but all of them will require a proper feasibility and market study. We are not endorsing any specific one, neither are we saying that each one will work out or will be successful.

So before you rush out and just open a business based on the concepts that we will be disclosing here, give the idea your own flavor. Study it and apply your own mind. Study the market and once you have done your own homework, then - and only then, should you really start considering it as a business opportunity.

We are not going to TELL you were you could position such a business, neither are we going to run such a business for you, but we do indeed invite you to engage with us. We have extensive know-how in the areas of business development and support, as well as social development and we will be able to provide you with some guidance or, if it is outside our area of expertise, we will be able to direct you to the right people and organizations.

All in all, the objective of this portal is to give you access to ideas that you could turn into a business or even into a hobby.

We will be looking out for new ideas; for things that are different and share them with you. We trust and believe that these ideas will inspire the same enthusiasm from the community, to take that bold step and to build a united Lagos that stands proud of its own achievements as a community.
