Lagos Holiday Rentals: 5 Myths Debunked

If you are having doubts about staying in a Lagos holiday rental, it’s probably due to some of the common myths below. Many people have become used to book hotel accommodation because many are unaware of the range and quality of rentals that are available to them in Lagos. This lack of knowledge is one of the reasons why holiday rentals have acquired so many myths. Don’t let these misconceptions stop you from enjoying an affordable and memorable holiday rental in Lagos.

Myth #1. Lagos holiday rentals are expensive.

Truth:
When it comes to holiday accommodation nothing compares in price to a holiday rental.  The average nightly rate of one hotel room in Lagos is comparable to that of a large, multiple bedroom apartment or villa rental.
It is quite clear that for a family or larger group visiting Lagos, this will certainly work out much cheaper than staying in multiple hotel rooms.
Take it one step further and look at the privacy and independence offered, and there really is, only one obvious choice.

Myth #2. Lagos holiday rental properties are not well maintained.

Truth:
Obviously we cannot speak for all holiday rentals in Lagos but we can for many of our subscribers who are first and foremost reputable property management companies.
They oversee all of the day-to-day maintenance issues that occur in the properties available for rental that are under their management.
You can expect them to offer you a 24/7 service so that they can deal with any issues that may arise during your stay. Their services, often include a daily maid/cleaning service.  So if you prefer to leave the housework at home, then holiday rentals can also be a great option.

Myth #3. Lagos holiday rentals are too far from attractions

Truth:
This one couldn’t be further from the truth. Where there’s a hotel, there is always a holiday rental, and it is a fact that Lagos has an over supply of hotels. Taking into account that Lagos is fairly centrally located in the Algarve, you are in fact located within a reasonable distance of most attractions outside of Lagos. Within Lagos itself, you can drive from one area of Lagos to another in less than 20 minutes.

But, the fact is that Lagos has attractions spread evenly throught out the whole council area.  To read more about what attractions are available check other sections of this site.

But if you want a place that is away from the main areas, Lagos has plenty of those to. More and more people want to enjoy a more rural, and isolated stay in Lagos, and if you are one of them, then Lagos is still one location where you still find holiday rentals far away from the spots favoured by hotels, in fact there are still many areas in Lagos were you will not find a single hotel located nearby.

Myth #4. Lagos holiday rentals are hard and unsafe to book

Truth:
Thanks to the Internet it’s now not only incredibly easy to find your perfect rental but it’s also easy to safely book your accommodation online. To inquire about the availability of holiday rental proprieties, simply check the appropriate section of this site and look for property management companies.

Myth #5. Lagos holiday rentals don’t offer the same facilities as a hotel

Truth:
If you enjoy amenities like a private swimming pool, fully equipped kitchen, separate bedrooms for each guest,  Satellite TV, Wi-Fi and much more all included in the rental rate, then we will guarantee you will enjoy a Lagos holiday rental so much more than a hotel. As for facilities, many holiday properties in Lagos are located in secure developments and complex’s and offer such facilities as communal swimming pools, shuttle bus service, close proximity to restaurants, bars, gyms, saunas, tennis courts and even squash courts!

There is no doubt that in the current economic climate, you do not need to cut short your holiday. Instead use your financial resources to enjoy an extended visit by staying in a holiday rental.
