The Science of Potholegy™

Potholegy™ is the science and study of Potholes:

We invite you to join this new adoption movement that is growing by leaps and bounds in South Africa.

We invite you to become a pioneer in Potholegy™!

But before you can participate as a member of this new adoption agency, The Empowerment Gateway Potholegy Association, you need to have some knowledge and understanding of Potholes.

You need to graduate from the Empowerment Gateway Potholegy Institute, an organisation where you will gain all the know-how that you need about the pothole community.

Here are a few very basic facts regarding Potholes

Do you know that Potholes form a species of their own?
Do you know that Potholes come in various sizes and shapes?
Do you know that they thrive on a simple diet of tires and rims supplemented with the odd shower of rain?
Do you know that they suffer from an identity crisis and that because of this, they resort to gansterdom in order to have some identity - How many times have you not encountered such a gang glaring at you with that daring and provoking "attitude" as you approach them?
Do you know that Pothole Gangs present a rather unique social behavior: Although they are extremely territorial, they present a predominant propensity for amalgamation with other Gangs?
Do you know that they also suffer from obesity and many have a drinking problem?
Do you know which ones are safe to hug and kiss, and which ones you need to straddle or avoid?
Do you know that Potholes have feelings and emotions?
Do you know that they feel left out in the icy cold and blistering heat, and are hurting, because they feel they have been abandoned?
Are you aware that they have to contend with a barrage of insults and expletives on a daily basis?

Think of all the poor Potholes sitting out there suffering the elements, left on their own. Some are abused, harassed and insulted on a daily basis.

The Empowerment Gateway Potholegy Association and the Institute, in association with the SPCP (Society for the Protection and Care of Potholes) and the SAAPS (South African Association of Pothole Surgeons), is offering you the chance to show that you really do care!

But How?

By adopting a Pothole and making it part of your family!

Think of the poor Pothole in your street, in your suburb, your village or in your city … as an orphan; desperately needing your care and attention.

We even give you a choice on the type of Pothole that you can adopt. (See more about the Species).

You can adopt one or more Potholes. You can even adopt a family of Potholes. (See more about the Adoption Process)

You can adopt all the Potholes in a section of your own street, a family or cluster of Potholes in your local suburb streets or even all the Potholes in specific regional or national roads. (See more about the options)

We are currently in negotiations with SAUP (The South African Union of Potholes) to assist us in including the SPG (The Society of Pothole Gangs) in the programme, and all indications are that we will be successful in including the gangs in this programme.
